For Beginners: What to Know About Cannabis Vaping

Man vaping

If you’re a regular cannabis user and you smoke your weed, then you may be shocked to learn you’re wasting it. Smoking weed does mean getting a quick high, but you’re also burning off a lot of the THC. Yes, holding the smoke in for a moment or two can increase the potency of your high, but you’ll never be able to get the full value out of your weed with this method. The solution? Vaping. There are two main ways to vape cannabis, which are as follows:

With a THC Oil

In traditional vapes, you use an e-liquid. This e-liquid is an oil that gets vaporized and then inhaled. The vapor is not hot, allowing you to comfortably inhale a cleaner substance than smoke. The same process works with THC oil. It’s important to keep in mind that THC e-liquids come in various concentrations, so start low so that you can figure out which concentration is a good fit for you.

With a Dry Herb Vaporizer

If you want to get even more bang for your buck, use something like a Nectar dry herb vaporizer. These types of vaporizers heat up dried cannabis flowers to produce a vapor. When the vapor no longer has much potency, you can then use the leftover herbs in edibles with no extra steps involved.

What You Need to Know About Cannabis Vaping

There are a few essential things to keep in mind before you get started with cannabis vaping.

·       E-Liquid is One and Done

If you already have an oil-based vape, then you’ll need to get specific cannabis e-liquid. This oil contains various concentrations of THC, as stated before, meaning you can even get up to 80% potency. Don’t immediately go for the highest amount, however, as this might make you feel sick. If you want to try it, remember to start low and be patient while you find the right concentration for yourself. That way, you can identify your ideal dosage and stick to it, enabling you to enjoy weed vaping without getting unwanted side effects.

·       Dry Herbs Have a Second Life

If you use a dry herb vaporizer, then you actually get two products in one. First, you get the initial high and cannabis effects from the vapor, without the tar smoke associated with regular smoking. The second is that, during the process of vaporization, the cannabis flower inside your vape gets heated and activated. While you can throw the flower out after the vapor loses its potency, you’re actually better off saving it to be made into an edible later on. This way, you get two lives out of your purchase and produce no waste.

·       You’ll Need to Clean Your Vape Regularly

Just as with any vape, you’ll need to regularly clean and maintain it to get the best, cleanest experience. Get into the habit of proper vape maintenance, and your device will last far longer, allowing you to take your investment further.

·       You Can Use the Leftover Resin

You’ll need to regularly clean your vape to remove the thick resin build-up. This resin can be discarded, or you can actually use it as a dab. To use it as a dab, simply place it under your tongue and hold it there for a minute before discarding it.
