What’s in them?

For this review, we are going to look at one of my favorites – the MARS HYDRO 2’X4′ Indoor Complete Grow Tent Kits. I like these because they tuck up against the wall and only protrude 2 feet out, making it easy to find it a home.
The Tent
At the core of the kit is the MARS HYDRO 2×4 Grow Tent. This high-quality tent is a roomy 71 inches tall – plenty of space for vertical growth! The Mars Hydro indoor grow tent uses reflective diamond Mylar, tear-proof 1680D canvas to give you a private and reliable cultivating room for 3-6 plants.

Illumination
In this package, MARS HYDRO has included the large, rectangular TSL 2000 Full Spectrum LED Grow Light to energize your mini-field. TSL 2000 provides perfect rectangular lighting coverage for 4-6 plants, which is the same number of plants you can grow in the tent. Coincidence? I think not! There was obviously some thought put into this.
The full spectrum TSL 2000 LED grow light consumes 300 watts and obtains 2.6umol/j efficacy, providing abundant PAR for plant growth and increasing your yields via year-round production. What does that jumble of word salad mean? It means that you will grow some absolute FIRE without totally killing your energy bill.
The light features dual MOSO drivers and 706 Epistar LEDs. It’s aluminum skirt helps to reflect light downward towards your plants, ensuring they get the most radiation. The TSL 2000 also features a dimming control knob to turn down the brightness according to your grow schedule. You can daisy-chain up to 15 of these full spectrum LEDs.

Keep that Air Moving!
A commonly overlooked component when first setting up your growing location is Airflow. Plants, like Humans, need access to fresh, clean air in order to grow at their maximum potential. MARS HYDRO chose to help with this by throwing some extra parts into the kit.
The first piece to the airflow kit is a 4” inline fan that quietly gives strong airflow of 205CFM, and can transfer heating or cooling air in and out to keep a balanced growing environment. The fan also features variable speed control so you can dial it in just right.
Getting rid of the Skunk
Connected to this air-moving apparatus is something that EVERY home grower needs: a quality charcoal filter. As you know, cannabis is a bit…aromatic. Unfortunately, not everyone in your neighborhood is keen on that aroma though, so filtering is a great way to keep up your good neighborly standing. It also helps fool those certain house guests that just aren’t pro pot.
The filter is made of imported Virgin Australian activated charcoal, delivering 100% filtered airflow, eliminate some of the most undesirable odors, pungent smell, and particulates from your grow tent. Why is the type of charcoal important? It’s because Australian virgin charcoal granules absorb exponentially more contaminants and allergens than traditional carbon.
Keeping it all together
The complete grow tent kit also includes 33 feet of 4-inch flex duct. This allows you enough space to route your airflow exactly how you want it. 3 Duct Clamps are also included to keep all your connections tight. The whole thing is easy to assemble, even by a complete novice.
Some other important tools
MARS HYDRO also included a few other tools to help you get the most out of your grow. First up is a 24-hour programmable timer. This allows you to set your schedule of when you want your lights to turn on and off, keeping you from having to remember to do it manually.
To keep an eye on the temperature and humidity inside the tent, they also decided to throw in an accurate Hygrometer and thermometer combo. No more guessing, because its not like you could really do it without one.
5 Grow bags and a grow net round out the package offerings. Having this makes it much easier to start growing and later on arrange your plants. All you need to finish this ensemble is a growing medium to fil those pots, seeds, and your nutrients of choice.
Overall

The TSL 2000 LED light is an excellent light for all but the more discerning growers. There are better lights available which will give you slightly higher yield, but the cost can jump significantly. I am pretty sure that most people will be quite satisfied with this LED though.
The Airflow kit does a great job of keeping everything moving, and the included charcoal filter is excellent. No one will know that you have some prime weed growing in your house!

Cool I didn’t know mars had kits like this. I use their lights. I pieced my setup together from different sellers. I have a mars fc3000 light, spider farmer tent and a cheap chinese fan from amazon.
Ive never grown weed b4, can I so it in my apartment with this? They don’t allow for it bc of the smell so will this stop the smell? I really want to grow my own. I have seeds rdy.
While grow tents can do wonders for keeping the smell at bay, they are not 100% smell proof. Also dont forget, the second that you open the tent you will blast your apartment with that skunky smell. I have had friends that grew in their apartments and no one complained, but I have known others who were caught and kicked out. The choice is yours. If your management and all your surrounding neighbors were cool you may get away with it, but most likely someone will complain.
