Cannabis consumers come in many forms so we’ve included multiple points of view in our strain reviews. Our longtime reviewers Monterey Bud and Duke London join Managing Editor Lesley Nickus and Bob from next door. Today, they’ll be reviewing Private Reserve (PR) by Sote Choice.

Private Reserve (PR) by Sote’s Choice is a 50/50 Hybrid that appeals to both the nose and the cranium. OG centric, her aroma is predominantly skunk – with a little something extra. A relaxing and thought provoking smoke, one rip off your favorite bong or bubbler of Sote’s PR … and your day is donezo. A great strain for ending a stressful day, PR replaces anxiety and tension with a deep sense of mental peace and tranquility. There is one caveat for PR: lock the refrigerator and padlock the pantry – this strain makes you ravenous.
This super dense nugget of PR had a subtle yet distinct smell, almost like a graham cracker (honey flavored). I know, weird. The Hybrid from Sote was absolutely gorgeous, an assortment of greens resembling a thick forest, all tied together by an abundance of long, orange pistils. The taste wasn’t as sweet as I expected from the aroma. It was more peppery, hitting me in the back of my throat like some hot sauce that went down the wrong pipe. Update: I’m baked.
Sote Choice PR’s nugs are an evenly colored green throughout with some bright orange pistils scattered throughout. It had a bouncy center and broke apart really easily. I had a hard time finding a discernible aroma — it smelled like weed. I rolled it up into a joint with my fancy glass crutch, lit it up and sat back. The quality of this flower is on point, but it’s not my favorite strain. Perhaps it was because I wasn’t really in the mood to devour all the ice cream in my apartment, which I absolutely did about an hour after smoking. [insert shrugging woman emoji here]
